Transitioning our energy portfolio

With the changing nature of electricity demand across Australia, there's an increasing need for more flexible generation and generation from a diverse range of sources and in a range of locations.

Firming assets, such as battery storage, pumped hydro and gas peaking plants, can start at short notice and ramp up and down quickly, making them an excellent complement to higher levels of variable renewable generation such as wind and solar.

We are on track to meet our ambition to add 12 GW of new renewable and firming capacity for our customers by the end of 2035, and we will seek options to accelerate where possible.

Our development pipeline includes projects at various stages of development, including community consultation and construction.
