Update login details

Update your login email address and password easily in My Account and the AGL app.

Update login email address

  1. In the  AGL App 'Account' tab, select 'Settings'
  2. Select 'Login Details' then 'Update Email'
  3. Enter your new email address and select 'Send Code'
  4. A one-time code will be sent to your new email address
  5. Enter the code and select ‘Save’
  1. In My Account select your name in the top right corner, then 'Profile'
  2. On the ‘Login details’ tile, find 'Login email' then select 'Edit'
  3. Enter your new email address and select ‘Send code'
  4. A one-time code will be sent to your new email address
  5. Enter the code and select ‘Save’

Change your password

  1. In the AGL App 'Account' tab, select 'Settings'
  2. Select 'Login Details' then 'Update Password'
  3. Enter your new password and select 'Update Password'

  2. On the ‘Login details’ tile, find 'Login password' and select 'Edit'
  3. Enter your new password and select ‘Update Password'

Creating a secure password

To protect your AGL online account against third parties, we recommend choosing a password that is unique and difficult to guess. This means having a different password for each website you log in to – including AGL.

You can update your password easily from My Account and the AGL app.

  • Use a minimum of 8 characters with a combination of upper-case letter, numbers and special characters
  • Avoid using a string of numbers
  • Avoid the use of common words, especially your favourite holiday destination, football team or song
  • Never use any publicly available information, such as social media aliases, your birthday, postcode or pet’s name
  • Use a different password for each online service
  • Use a password generator to create unique passwords
  • Update your passwords regularly and use a password manager
