We’ve partnered with the SA Government to help make electricity more affordable for social housing tenants. If you’re eligible, you get a no-cost solar setup on your property and a very low-cost plan. Learn more about the SA VPP
A VPP is a network of solar batteries installed on residential homes. When the electricity grid needs help, a small amount of energy can be drawn from each battery to create a large pool of energy that can be used to support the grid.
Systems installed on residential properties are owned and managed by AGL. This means:
We’ll reconfigure the system we installed on your property to support the grid and wider local community. Although the system remains on your property, you’ll no longer get discounted electricity rates or 24/7 backup power protection during outages.
