AGL Carbon Neutral solutions help your business address greenhouse gas emission reduction targets and broader sustainability goals.
We offer Climate Active certified carbon neutral options that offset emissions from the energy we supply and from the solar and energy efficiency projects we deliver.
Offsetting means for every carbon unit associated with the generation and delivery of your energy or product, we purchase and retire eligible offset units. These offset units are generated by supporting projects that not only remove CO2 from the atmosphere but often have additional community benefits. The result is a CO2 balance of net zero.

Climate Active certification
Climate Active is an ongoing partnership between Australian businesses and the Commonwealth government. The Climate Active Carbon Neutral Standard sets the requirements that must be met for an offset unit to be eligible for use as part of a carbon neutral claim. 1 offset = 1 tonne of carbon dioxide (CO2‐e). Scheme participants are independently audited each year to ensure compliance.
