Community Fund

Twice a year, in April and October, AGL Hydro invites community groups and organisations to apply for support through the Community Fund Program.

If your organisation needs support for upcoming activities or events that align with our Community Fund Program Guidelines, we encourage you to submit an application.

The program reinvests part of Hydro’s revenue into supporting local projects, events and initiatives that benefit the broader community around the Hydro Operations in Mount Beauty, Eildon and Rubicon.

The program is open to community groups and organisations in the Alpine and Murrindindi Shires and aims to have lasting benefits to the communities that we operate in. Our goal is to create positive social, environmental and economic outcomes as our business grows.

Kangaroo Hoppet Sponsorship: AGL is proud to support the Kangaroo Hoppet, a cornerstone event that celebrates endurance, community spirit and the unique alpine environment of northeast Victoria. Mount Beauty Writers Festival Sponsorship: AGL is delighted to support the Mount Beauty Writers Festival, which brings together storytellers, thinkers and readers in the heart of the Victorian Alps. The festival strengthens regional culture by fostering creativity, conversation and connection. Through this sponsorship, AGL is proud to champion the arts and the vital role they play in vibrant regional communities.
Eildon Events Sponsorship: AGL is proud to support Eildon Events Inc, a communityled organisation that delivers inclusive cultural experiences such as the Eildon Twilight Market and the Eildon Twilight Serenade, formerly known as Opera at Eildon, held on the banks of the Eildon Pondage. Through artisan markets, live music, and highquality operatic performances in a regional setting, Eildon Events brings locals and visitors together while showcasing local producers, artists and performers.
