What to do on moving day

Check the main switch

If the electricity is not already connected at your new address, make sure your main switch is in the OFF position. If the switch is on, it may prevent your electricity from being re-connected.

Provide clear access to your meter

Things like security gates, a locked meter or hazards (like exposed wires or a dog) might stop us from connecting your energy.

Remember to disconnect

If you’re already an AGL energy or internet customer, you can ask us to disconnect your old services when you book your move. If you’re with another provider, you’ll need to ask them to disconnect your energy or internet service at your old address. Learn more about disconnections

Important things to know

¹ Online bill credit: Get a one-off $100 (GST incl.) credit per fuel (electricity and gas) when you sign up to selected plans direct with AGL online. Offer for new and moving residential customers in NSW and VIC only, where AGL operates, who remain an AGL electricity and gas customer at the same supply address for 90 days from the start of this energy plan. The credit amount reduces the price of supply of electricity or gas and is not transferable or refundable. AGL may exclude accounts from receiving more than one upfront credit per fuel in any 12-month period. Not available in conjunction with any other AGL offer, unless otherwise stated.
