Embedded networks

Switch to AGL from an embedded network

Part of an embedded network? You might be able to get a better deal by choosing your own electricity provider – also known as ‘going on-market’.

We’re available Monday to Friday, 8am–8pm AEST/AEDT.

What’s an embedded network?

An embedded network is a privately owned and maintained electricity network. The network buys electricity in bulk and re-sells it to homes in the network, sometimes at the maximum price.

Are you on an embedded network?

If you live in an apartment block, retirement village or residential park, you’re probably on an embedded network. Check your energy bill, or ask your building or site manager.

It’s easy to switch to AGL

You’re not locked in to your network’s energy plan – you can change plans without body corporate or landlord approval. Your network just needs to be in an area we service and meet basic requirements.
