AGL is conducting a recall of AGL-branded wireless phone chargers, which may present a fire risk in certain circumstances.

What is the defect?
The product may overheat when charging causing localised heat damage to the area surrounding the product.
What is the hazard?
The product could present a fire risk.
Where were the chargers distributed?
The chargers were distributed at the following Melbourne Victory events:
- Victory in Business season launch luncheon: Wednesday, 10 October 2018. Crown Palladium.
- Melbourne Victory v Western Sydney Wanderers, Chairman’s Function: Saturday, 1 December 2018. Marvel Stadium.
- Victory in Business Grand Final luncheon: Friday, 17 May 2019. Crown Palladium.
What should you do?
You should:
- Immediately unplug the charger and discontinue use.
- Complete the contact details form below. AGL will only use this information to send you a reply-paid postage satchel and gift voucher.
- Return the charger(s) and USB cable(s) to AGL using the supplied satchel.
- Once AGL receives the charger and the USB cable, AGL will provide a $20 EFTPOS card as a goodwill gesture for each returned charger/cable.
Can I just dispose of it in the bin?
No. It is illegal to dispose of e-waste in landfill in some states and territories. Please return the chargers to AGL through the returns process outlined below, so that we can dispose of them safely and legally.
