Passkey management

How to set up, view or delete a passkey in your AGL account.

What is a passkey?

A passkey is a simple alternative to a password. It allows you to sign in to your AGL account faster using your face, fingerprint or PIN, similar to how you would to unlock your device.

Creating your first passkey

If you don't have a passkey, you'll be prompted to create one when you sign in.

  1. Sign in to your account using your email and password.
  2. Enter your 6-digit verification code.
  3. If your device is passkey compatible, you'll see a prompt to create a passkey.
  4. Follow the prompts to set up your passkey.

You'll be able to use your new passkey the next time you sign in.

Where you can manage your passkeys

My Account

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Select Profile.
  3. In the Profile and security tab, scroll down to Passkey.

The AGL app

  1. Go to Account then Settings.
  2. Select Manage Profile.
  3. Scroll down to Passkey.

Ways you can manage your passkeys

With your AGL account, you can:

  • View existing passkeys and their linked devices
  • Add a new passkey by selecting Create a passkey
  • Rename or delete an existing passkey by selecting Edit.

Deleted passkeys will still sit in your device’s password manager even though they're inactive. Make sure you delete any old or inactive passkeys from your device’s password manager.

Passkey on multiple devices

You can use passkeys on more than one device. When you sign in on a new device, you’ll be prompted to create a passkey for that device. All your saved passkeys can be viewed or deleted anytime in My Account.

Who can use a passkey?

If you use two-factor authentication, you'll see the Create a passkey prompt after you enter email and password then your 6-digit verification code. If you don’t see it, it could mean you don’t have a compatible device.
