Making safety a priority at our sites

My journey in health and safety began at AGL Macquarie 18 years, and I’ve been passionate about keeping people safe and healthy ever since. As Senior Manager, Health and Safety for Renewable Energy, I support AGL’s hydro, wind and battery business units.

One of the most meaningful moments in my career was being part of Liddell’s safe and respectful closure. Now, I’m proud to be supporting our growing renewables business, helping embed strong safety practices across our new generation sites, ensuring safety remains at the forefront.

People-first, safety always

What I love most about my role is the amazing people I work with and the sites I support. There’s a real commitment to creating a safe workplace where people are empowered to speak up and take action to protect themselves and others.

My job isn’t to have all the answers - it’s to work with those who do and help turn their insights into safer outcomes. This includes implementing systems, procedures and training to support them in their work. 

Living local and looking ahead

I live in the beautiful Port Stephens region of New South Wales. Outside of work, I spend time with my two dressage horses, Audrey and Raffi – training, competing and enjoying their company. I also love getting outdoors with my staffy, whether it’s chasing frisbees or exploring the bush and beaches. And when I can, I hit the golf course – we’re lucky to have some fantastic ones nearby.

My hope for the energy transition is that it not only succeeds in delivering a better future for all, but it continues to do so with the safety of people as a priority.
