Making sure everyone feels safe and supported from day one takes real effort and continual improvement.
That’s why we take action, measure our progress and keep raising the bar – so everyone can feel valued and included at work.
We're proud to have been awarded Platinum Employer status for LGBTQ+ inclusion in 2022 and 2024 by the Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI).
The initial award followed recognition of our work to introduce gender neutral titles for our customers, championed by AGL Shine, our LGBTQ+ employee network.
Our Platinum Employer status highlights our commitment to create a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for LGBTQ+ people.
We celebrate our strides towards gender equality, and recognise the people working hard to break down barriers.
By engaging with a range of career progression programs, conversations and advocacy efforts, our people are striving for gender balance both here and across the energy industry.
Join AGL, where our goal is to provide a culturally safe workplace, where you feel supported and respected, with access to sustainable career growth.

At our onsite Code Camps, parents and carers can bring their children to work during school holidays and trust they are being cared for, all while learning the skills that will hopefully spark a lifelong interest in technology.
Our most recent camp took place at our Melbourne, Loy Yang and Adelaide locations, where we hosted young, enthusiastic students who learned how to code their own programs. The three-day school holiday program provided children with practical skills like problem solving, building resilience and connection.
Code Camp is just one of the ways we support carers and their families at AGL.
