Questions about business energy plans

The best way to identify the plans available for your business is by using your National Metering Identifier (NMI). This unique 10 or 11 digit number is found on your bill, or we can help you find it. Call us on 133 835.

You just need a business ABN, email address and a driver licence, Medicare card or passport. You can switch online using our signup form, by webchat or phone.

Yes, we have plans designed for small businesses. What’s available depends on your location and how many business properties you have.

Small business with one property

You’re considered a small business if you spend less than $30,000 (incl GST) annually on electricity or $50,000 (incl GST) on gas.

If you spend more than this, you’re considered a large business and may be eligible for our enterprise energy plans.

Small business with 2–9 properties

You could be eligible for exclusive low rates with our AGL Business Multi-Property energy plan.

10+ business properties

You’re considered a large business and may be eligible for our enterprise energy plans.

Yes, the type of energy meter you have will affect the plans you’re eligible for.
