Things you should know
To be eligible for the Offer you must:
- be a member of the Velocity Frequent Flyer program. Not a Velocity member? Join here.
- provide your Velocity membership details (including first name, last name and your valid membership number) when purchasing the battery, solar battery bundle or EV home charger under the offer, and mention ‘Velocity’ when signing up over the phone.
For battery or solar battery bundles, you must:
- be a residential customer and reside within 100km of the state capital CBD in QLD, VIC, NSW, SA. Travel charges apply to customers who live more than 50km from the state capital CBD
- have an existing AGL electricity plan or sign up to a new AGL electricity plan
- sign up to the AGL Virtual Power Plant (VPP)
- remain connected to the AGL VPP every 12 months for anniversary bonus Points, for up to five years.
For EV home charger, you must:
- be a residential customer in Australia (excluding ACT).

Initial Velocity Points for battery or solar battery bundle purchases may take up to 45 days from the date AGL installs your battery or solar battery bundle, to appear in your Velocity account.
Anniversary bonus Points for staying connected to the AGL VPP, may take up to 15 days after each 12-month anniversary of the installation date of your battery or solar battery bundle, to appear in your Velocity account.
Velocity Points for EV home charger purchases may take up to 45 days from the date AGL receives full payment for your charger, to appear in your Velocity account.

Installation: Currently we only install batteries within 100km of the state capital CBD only.
Wall, indoor or outdoor installation: A detailed site inspection may be required and will be conducted by AGL to assess your home’s individual suitability for a wall installation and indoor or outdoor installation.
Installation and administration costs include GST. AGL credit and battery rebates do not include GST.
Usable capacity: Battery capacity is measured at the battery module DC terminals. Losses associated with further system conversion may vary.
