We're committed to supporting your choice to say "no" to door knocking and have taken things one-step further. Now you can request a Do Not Knock sticker to be sent to you at no cost.

AGL Has Withdrawn From Unsolicited Door-to-Door Sales

In October 2012, we decided to close the door on unsolicited residential door knockers selling energy plans in Queensland and South Australia.

Since then, customer response has been overwhelmingly positive. So we took action to find out how customers really felt about door knocking by commissioning independent research.

You've Told Us Loud and Clear

  • 69%* of energy decision-makers have negative attitudes towards energy door-to-door sales people.

  • 67%* of the people we spoke to felt the experience was intrusive.

So We've Closed the Door

In February, we made the decision to cease all residential door-to-door sales of energy plans in New South Wales and Victoria as well.

We understand and respect your right to say "no" to door knocking. This means, all across Australia, you won’t see an AGL residential energy plan door-to-door sales person at your home.

We will continue to offer great energy deals and services, just not from your front door!

  • Enjoy our great energy plan deals.

  • See our media release for more information.

* Independent research commissioned by AGL and conducted by AMR in February 2013.
