Green Energy is an AGL product accredited under the national GreenPower program. The GreenPower program accredits projects that produce electricity from eligible renewable energy sources. GreenPower accredited energy is additional to the Commonwealth Government's Renewable Power Percentage, encouraging investment in commercial renewable energy projects.
To match your electricity use with energy from GreenPower accredited Australian renewable electricity generators, we buy and voluntarily surrender Large-scale Generation Certificates (LGSs) on your behalf. More demand for renewable electricity certificates can then help increase overall demand for renewable electricity generation in Australia.
To remove Green Energy from your plan, call us on 131 245 Monday to Friday, 8am-7pm AEST/AEDT. Removing Green Energy may change your existing electricity plan, including pricing.
