Information for solar customers

Things to know about feeding electricity into the network from your solar panels.

Feed-in tariffs not subject to GST for residential customers.

A feed-in tariff is the rate paid for any electricity your solar system feeds into the grid. These tariffs can change from time to time. If they do, we will notify you no later than your next bill after the change.

Solar feed-in terms

These terms apply to AGL solar feed-in tariffs, effective from 8 November 2023:

To be eligible for AGL's solar feed-in tariff, the inverter capacity of your solar system must not exceed, or must be export limited to:

  • 10 kW in New South Wales and South Australia

  • 100 kW in Victoria

  • 30 kW in Queensland

You must also not be receiving a feed-in tariff under a government scheme.

Our solar services are not currently available in Western Australia.
