How many properties can I sign up under my name on this AGL VIP Family and Friends Offer (I have a holiday house/small business that I'd like to sign up as well as my primary residence)?
As an added benefit to the program, family and friends can be set up on the AGL VIP Family and Friends Offer for multiple properties for both Residential and small business addresses.
How can I compare my current energy rates with the rates AGL will be offering as part of the new AGL VIP Family and Friends Offer?

If you are an existing AGL customer, you should refer to your most recent energy bill/s to view your current rates, and to compare these to the rates that will apply under the AGL VIP Family and Friends offer. Please note that AGL’s rates under the VIP Family and Friends offer are variable.

If you are not an AGL customer already, you will need to review your most recent bill and compare those rates to the applicable rates under the AGL VIP Family and Friends plan. However, please remember you will be subject to the terms of your existing contract with your current retailer and may be charged an early termination fee by them.

To find out what rates will apply to you under the AGL VIP Family and Friends offer, you can call the AGL VIP Call Centre on 1300 667 506 – the team can help compare your bill too, or request a Victorian Energy Fact Sheet or Basic Plan Information Document. Please note that these rates are variable and are subject to change.

I'm not an AGL customer; how long will it take for my property to transfer to AGL and become part of the AGL VIP Family and Friends promotion?

You will become part of the AGL VIP Family and Friends Offer when your transfer to AGL is complete. This will occur after your next available meter read. You will receive a final bill from your previous retailer up to the next transfer date. After that, you will receive an email or letter from AGL to confirm that you have been transferred to AGL.

I'm already an AGL customer, can I still sign up for the AGL VIP Family and Friends Offer?
Yes. Existing customers are still eligible. However, please check and compare your current energy plan contract to make sure this offer is right for you.
I'm a solar customer, am I still eligible for the AGL VIP Offer?

Yes, solar customers are eligible to receive this offer. However, the current online process does not cater for solar tariffs; because of this, customers will need to call 1300 369 245 (8am-6pm AEST, Monday to Friday) to sign up and discuss their individual situation with a customer service representative.


Offer available to NSW customers where AGL operates. 

Basic Plan Information Documents are available upon request. 

^Credits include: $75 for electricity and $75 for gas off your first home energy bills for residential customers in QLD, NSW, VIC and SA. The credit amounts are GST inclusive and reduce the price of supply of gas or electricity. Credits will appear on your first bills and are non-transferrable. AGL may exclude accounts from receiving more than one upfront credit in any 12-month period.
