Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account by using a verification code.

What is 2FA?

2FA is short for ‘two-factor authentication’. It means that when you sign in to your AGL account, you need to use at least two methods to prove it’s you, like your password and a verification code. That way, we know it’s really you trying to sign in.

How to sign in with 2FA

We use 2FA to keep your account safe

2FA is turned on for all AGL accounts to help protect you from scams, phishing and fraud.

How 2FA protects you

Without 2FA, if someone knows or guesses your password they could use it to sign in to your account.

With 2FA turned on, they can’t access your account with just your password. An extra verification code is needed.

Keep your code private

Never share your verification code with anyone who calls, texts or emails you asking for the code.

If you call us, we may send you a verification code to check that it’s really you calling. We’ll ask you to repeat this code back to us.

Choose how to receive your code

You can choose to receive verification codes by SMS or authenticator app. Make sure we have your current mobile number so you can sign in smoothly.
