South Australia's Virtual Power Plant

Thank you for being part of South Australia’s Virtual Power Plant (SA VPP). As an SA Housing Trust tenant within the SA VPP, you have access to an exclusive discounted electricity plan.

To ensure you remain on your current plan and can access the exclusive SA VPP discount for your electricity, we ask that you agree to transfer to AGL, who will be the new provider of the plan. If you don’t agree to transfer, you will no longer be able to access the SA VPP discount.

Your electricity service will continue as normal during this change.

Things to know if you transfer to AGL

  • You’ll stay on your exclusive SA VPP discounted electricity plan, with no changes to your rates or terms.

  • You can choose to transfer your Direct Debit arrangement on the same terms, except AMEX payments, which can’t be transferred.

  • You’ll keep the 18.15 cents per day discount, but it will now apply regardless of how you pay your bill.

  • Plan fees will stay the same or may decrease. You can also pay your bill at Australia Post (fees apply).

  • Key account details, including Life Support, concessions, confidential support flags, hardship (or other) payment plan details, marketing permissions, billing and communication preferences will transfer to AGL.

  • Centrepay doesn’t transfer automatically. We’ll let you know how to set it up with AGL if it applies to you.

  • Your transfer will take place in April or May 2026. We will contact you beforehand with more details.

Tip: You'll find your 6 or 7 digit account number (do not include letters ‘SAVPP’) near the top right corner of your bill or in the email/letter we sent you.

Privacy notice

If you agree to transfer your electricity service to AGL, we will collect your personal and account information recorded in this form and from Energy Locals for the purpose of continuing your electricity service following your transfer. We may share your information with our related companies in the AGL Group, Energy Locals, third-party service providers (including some located overseas) who provide services to help run our business, and other third parties as set out in section 5 of our Privacy Policy. I understand that this means my participation in SA VPP will end soon.

Your current retailer Energy Locals will be in touch with next steps regarding your electricity plan and you will lose access to the discounted electricity plan associated with the program.

* Please note AMEX Direct Debit arrangements cannot be transferred.
