AGL Monthly Prize Draw FAQs
You'll be included in the draw once your first bill has been issued, provided you:
are 18 or older
live in NSW, QLD, SA, VIC and WA
have an active AGL residential electricity or gas account at 11:59pm on the last day of the entry month.
You’re not eligible if you only have an AGL nbn® and/or mobile plan, or if you work for AGL or are an immediate family member of an AGL employee.
You are entered in every draw once your first AGL energy bill is issued. The number of entries you get depends on how many years you’ve been with AGL energy, up to a maximum of 10 entries per draw.
If you’ve changed account numbers, such as when moving house, your number of entries is based on how long you’ve had your new account number.
Non-winning entries don’t carry over to the next draw.

If you have more than one eligible AGL energy account, we use your longest-held account to calculate your entries. If you win, you can choose which eligible account receives the $2,000 energy bill credit.
Entries for each month’s draw close at 11.59pm AESDT/AEDT on the last day of the month before the draw. For example, entries for the draw on 7 December 2026 close at 11.59pm on 30 November 2026.

We'll add the credit within 30 days of the draw. If you have more than one eligible account, let us know which account you’d like the credit applied to.
The energy bill credit can't be split between accounts, transferred or exchanged for cash. If you move and sign up with AGL at your new property, any remaining credit can be transferred to your new AGL account. If you leave AGL, you'll lose any unused credit.
You’ll be automatically included in any draw after your first energy bill has been issued.
