I'm Head of Construction Management Office
I’m responsible for ensuring our large-scale construction projects are supported by governance, planning, systems, assurance and performance capability.
My team provides practical capability that supports construction delivery across the AGL portfolio. Leveraging systems, digital tools and project data allows us to make informed decisions, identify risks early, and continuously improve our processes.
Whether we’re building a grid-scale battery, a wind farm, or undertaking a complex upgrade to existing infrastructure, my job is to set clear standards, strengthen oversight and enable teams with the right information so that every project is executed responsibly, sustainably, and with lasting positive impact.
I love the scale and variety of projects
Few companies in Australia cover so much ground in energy. From legacy power stations to wind farms and new battery technology, I get to work on all kinds of projects, each one unique. This variety keeps things interesting and means I’m always learning.
What I enjoy most now is working across multiple projects at once, helping teams navigate complexity and learning from how different projects approach similar challenges. It’s motivating to know I’m part of something bigger, a national transformation in Australia’s energy landscape. That sense of being involved in meaningful change is what drives me every day.
My path into energy wasn’t exactly planned
I started out in marketing and stakeholder engagement for different industries, including electrical manufacturing, finance and resources, which taught me a lot about communication and supporting projects.
I spent time working at the world’s largest coal export port. That experience gave me a front-row seat to the complex balancing act of pursuing a sustainable energy transition while still supporting local jobs, the economy, and communities. It really drove home how change in the energy sector is never just technical; it’s about people, livelihoods, and making sure no one is left behind.
The real turning point was when I joined AGL on the Liddell Power Station transition. Helping retire one of Australia’s oldest coal-fired stations and getting the site ready for its next chapter was a huge learning experience. It deepened my understanding of how our energy projects can affect local communities and shape the nation’s future, highlighting the lasting impact and responsibility we carry in this industry.
There’s always a new challenge to tackle
Our work directly contributes to cleaner, more reliable energy for the future, and that’s really fulfilling. Plus, as the industry grows and changes, it brings more diverse ideas and leaders, which makes it even more exciting.
