AGL and Velocity Frequent Flyer are partnering up again to expand the loyalty offering for AGL customers, giving the millions of Australians on an electrification journey and who are adopting customer energy resources (CER) like solar batteries or EV home chargers, the opportunity to earn Velocity Points.
Eligible customers within select areas of Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia, that purchase an eligible solar battery bundle and join AGL’s Virtual Power Plant can earn up to 150,000 Velocity Points over 5 years.1,3
For battery only, customers can earn up to 125,000 Velocity Points over 5 years when purchasing an eligible battery and joining AGL’s VPP. 2-3 Eligible customers in all states and territories (excluding ACT) could earn 10,000 Velocity Points through the purchase of an eligible EV home charger.
150,000 Velocity Points can be redeemed for a return Economy flight from Brisbane to Athens on Qatar Airways (plus taxes, fees and carrier charges)^^ or redeemed on various household, technology, beauty and apparel items at myer.com.au, via the Velocity Reward Store, and more.
Velocity and AGL first launched their partnership in April 2024 with a consumer energy offer focussed on electricity and gas.
AGL Head of E-Mobility Mabelle Reyes said Australian households are playing a really important role in transitioning our energy system to renewables, by adopting rooftop solar and batteries. Increasingly, we are seeing days where rooftop solar is, in the middle of the day, the leading source of electricity being contributed to our energy system.

How to earn Velocity Points with AGL3:
Customers must be a member of the Velocity Frequent Flyer Program and provide details of their Velocity membership when purchasing an eligible product from AGL.
1 Total possible Velocity Points comprises of 75,000 upfront Points plus 15,000 bonus Points every 12 months the customer remains connected to AGL’s VPP, up to a maximum of 5 years.
2 Total possible Velocity Points comprises of 50,000 upfront Points plus 15,000 bonus Points every 12 months the customer remains connected to AGL’s VPP, up to a maximum of 5 years.
