AGL Energy Limited (AGL) and Galilee Energy Ltd are hosting two Open Days for the community at its Galilee Coal Seam Gas Project at the Glenaras Production Pilot on Friday 14 September from 2pm to 4.30pm and Saturday 15 September from 10am to 1pm. The Open Day will showcase the Galilee Gas Project and provide an opportunity for members of the surrounding communities to tour the site, learn about the project and see the different stages of the project’s development.
Visitors can view the site’s facilities on site and speak directly with the AGL project team including experts on groundwater, geology, operations, environment, cultural heritage, and land access. The Glenaras Production Pilot is located at Glenaras Station, 42 km north from Ilfracombe along the Ilfracombe/Aramac Rd, 56 km south from Aramac along the Ilfracombe/Aramac Rd, or 20 km south from the junction of the Saltern Creek Rd and Ilfracombe/Aramac Rd, along the Ilfracombe/Aramac Rd. Once motorists reach the Ilfracombe/Aramac Rd, look for the AGL signs to direct you to the Glenaras Pilot Site.
To ensure safety measures are upheld, AGL asks visitors to adhere to the dress code for the community days including wearing long sleeve shirts, trousers, closed-toed shoes and a hat.
