AGL Energy comprises seven core business units and functions to form the Executive Team: Energy Markets, Finance and Technology, Group Operations, New Energy, Organisational Transformation, People & Culture, and Stakeholder Relations.
The Energy Markets team is responsible for the marketing and sale of natural gas, electricity and energy related products and services to more than 3.5 million customer accounts across Australia. Key functions of this group include Wholesale Markets, Business Customers, Marketing & Retail Customers, Customer Capability & Insights, and Energy Market Operations.
The Finance and Technology team, led by Chief Financial Officer Brett Redman incorporates the business critical functions of Financial Business Partnering, Financial Control, Capital Markets, Financial Services, Group Business Development, Procurement, and Group Information Technology.
The Group Operations team, led by Executive General Manager Doug Jackson is responsible for Facilities, Physical Security and Health, Safety and Environment along with the ongoing management of AGL’s diverse portfolio of power generation assets. This portfolio includes base, peaking and intermediate generation plants, spread across traditional thermal generation as well as renewable sources including hydro, wind, solar, landfill gas and biomass.
Executive General Manager Elisabeth Brinton leads the New Energy team, focusing on AGL’s multi-pronged strategy of being a leader in the evolving new energy and disruptive technology space. Key functions of this group include Energy Services and New Energy, covering metering, solar, disruptive and emerging technologies.
The Organisational Transformation team, led by Executive General Manager Alistair Preston is responsible for establishing and leading the transformation that will enable AGL to optimise its core integrated business. Key functions of this group will include Continuous Improvement, Lean Diagnostics, Operational Excellence, Process Improvement, Process Change Management, Operational Technology and Asset Productivity Improvement.
The People and Culture team is driven by a vision, ‘To be a strategic partner in the business, leading change that delivers outstanding results through people’. Led by Executive General Manager Dan Cram, the P&C team delivers AGL's human resources by partnering with the business to achieve AGL’s goals through people strategies. Key functions of this group include Business Partnering, Employee Relations and Communications, Organisational Development, and Remuneration and Benefits.
The Stakeholder Relations team, led by Lisa Harrington, is the voice of AGL with a focus on establishing, maintaining and developing relationships with key stakeholders in an environment of continued regulatory and policy uncertainty. Key functions of this group include Media, Corporate Communications, Community Relations, Government Relations and Economic Policy and Sustainability.
In addition, the Company Secretariat function, led by John Fitzgerald, is responsible for managing AGL’s governance, compliance and risk.
