The following section outlines the terms and conditions relating to the allocation of Flybuys points to members by AGL. It should be read in conjunction with and in addition to the standard Flybuys terms and conditions.



AGL Flybuys points general terms

  • AGL reserves the right to amend the range of products and services that are eligible to earn points from time to time at its discretion.
  • Flybuys points issued by AGL can be reversed at AGL's or Flybuys' discretion, including if a member's payment is dishonoured, a refund is given, or if there has been a wrong allocation.
  • AGL reserves the right not to issue Flybuys points to an eligible AGL customer whose energy account has been assigned to an agent for the collection of debt or who otherwise has outstanding overdue debts owing to AGL.
  • From time to time, AGL may offer Flybuys bonus points to existing or new AGL customers or for the purchase of AGL products and services.
  • AGL is responsible for the calculation of Flybuys points offered by AGL for a member's energy usage or purchases, but AGL is not responsible or liable for the provision of Flybuys points, which is the sole responsibility of Flybuys.
  • You'll begin receiving Flybuys points within 90 days of linking your Flybuys account and meeting the eligibility criteria.
  • AGL is a Flybuys points issuer only. Flybuys points cannot be redeemed through or with AGL or any AGL affiliated entities.
  • To be eligible to earn Flybuys points on approved AGL products and services customers must have an active Flybuys membership. Terms and conditions and eligibility criteria apply. Visit the Flybuys website for full details.



Privacy

  • By linking their AGL energy account(s) to their Flybuys membership number, members are consenting to AGL holding their Flybuys membership number.
  • AGL will notify Flybuys of the number of Flybuys points members have earnt from payment of their AGL energy bills. Any information relating to members and their participation in Flybuys through AGL may also be used by AGL for marketing, planning, product development, research and other commercial purposes.


Energy account Flybuys offers - Base eligibility criteria

To be an eligible AGL customer who can earn Flybuys points for payment of an AGL energy account, a member must:

  1. hold an active residential gas and/or electricity account with AGL;
  2. have successfully linked their Flybuys membership number to their AGL energy account(s) via the Flybuys registration process;
  3. ensure that their AGL account name is identical to their Flybuys membership name; and
  4. adhere to AGL's minimum payment terms and conditions.
  • ActewAGL, Powerdirect and AGL business customers are not eligible for Flybuys points from AGL for paying ActewAGL, Powerdirect and AGL business energy bills.


AGL energy plan Flybuys points offer

  • Flybuys members who have linked their AGL and Flybuys accounts before the expiry date and are eligible AGL customers will be issued:
  • one (1) point for every two (2) whole dollars paid to AGL for payment of the member's residential gas and/or electricity bill. Flybuys members must link their account before 31 March 2021. Offer available until 20 June 2021 or
  • one (1) point for every whole dollar paid to AGL for payment of the member's residential gas and/or electricity bill if they have successfully registered for AGL My Account and eBilling for the relevant energy account. Flybuys members must link their account before 31 March 2021. Offer available until 13 June 2021
  • Points will be issued on recognition by AGL of payment (in part or full) to the linked AGL residential gas and/or electricity account.
  • Points will be credited to a member's Flybuys account within 60 days from recognition of payment by AGL until the expiry date. For clarity, if the member's bill payments are deferred for any period, points won't be credited during that period. Crediting of points will resume in accordance with these terms when bill payments recommence.


Other AGL Products and Services

  • From time to time AGL may, at its discretion, offer Flybuys points to eligible Flybuys members for the purchase of other AGL products and services.
  • AGL reserves the right to amend the range of products and services that are eligible to earn points from time to time at its discretion.
  • Eligible Flybuys members must present their Flybuys account number at the point of purchase of the approved AGL product or service.
  • Points will be issued on recognition by AGL of payment for the purchase of the approved AGL product or service.
  • Points will be issued within 60 days of the customer having paid the full amount owing for the purchase or having signed up to a payment plan.
  • Amounts redeemed using an AGL voucher are not eligible for points.
  • Flybuys members that have linked their AGL and Flybuys accounts by 31 March 2021 will be issued one (1) point for every whole dollar paid to AGL for payment of the approved AGL product or service if they have successfully registered for AGL My Account and eBilling. If members have not successfully registered for eBilling or My Account, they will receive one (1) point for every two (2) whole dollars paid to AGL. Offer ends 13 June 2021.


500 Flybuys bonus points (direct debit)

  • An AGL customer who signs up to direct debit to pay their AGL account or an AGL customer who is already paying their AGL account by direct debit will be issued with 500 bonus points (max one issue of 500 bonus points per residential account number). These Flybuys points will be allocated to your linked Flybuys account within 30 days of all eligibility criteria being met. Terms and conditions and eligibility criteria apply.
  • Available to eligible customers in VIC, NSW, QLD and SA. Offer available until 21 May 2021.


500 Flybuys monthly billing bonus points

  • An eligible AGL customer who signs up to receive their AGL bills monthly or an AGL customer who is already signed up to monthly billing will be issued with 500 bonus points (maximum one issue of 500 bonus points per residential account number). These Flybuys points will be allocated to your linked Flybuys account within 30 days of all eligibility criteria being met. Terms and conditions and eligibility criteria apply.
  • Available to eligible customers in VIC, NSW, QLD and SA. Offer available until 21 May 2021.


Moving Home Flybuys bonus points offer

  • Available to eligible customers in VIC, NSW, QLD and SA. Offer available until 21 April 2021.
  • To receive this offer, eligible customers must:
    • move their existing AGL electricity and/or gas accounts to their new home address, and
    • have linked their Flybuys membership to their AGL account(s) by 31 March 2021, and link their Flybuys membership to their AGL account(s) within 10 days of submitting their moving request via agl.com.au/get-connected/loyalty/flybuys or by calling AGL on 131 245.

  • An AGL customer is only eligible for one allocation of Moving Home Flybuys bonus points, irrespective of how many energy accounts are signed up to by the customer.
  • Moving Home Flybuys bonus points will be issued from 60 days after the new AGL contract start date, provided the member has not terminated the energy account during this time.
  • Offer can only be redeemed once every 6 months for each residential AGL account and expires on 21 April 2021.
