AGL and Australian Multiwall Bag
Since 1972, Australian Multiwall Bag (AMB) has provided premium quality bags throughout Oceania. AGL provided the company with a proposal to reduce energy use in their factory.
AMB has high speed production lines running for 10-hour stretches and up to 24 hours during peak periods. AMB’s operation is certainly energy-hungry, so when AGL came forward with a proposal to significantly reduce their energy use, the company didn’t hesitate.
AGL reviewed the business’s energy usage and recommended installing a Power Factor Correction unit and upgrading old lighting to high efficiency LED lights. The PFC unit and LED lights were installed without disruption to the factory.

AMB’s estimated annual energy cost savings is $33,000 with an approximate reduction of 158,078 kWh of grid energy. The new LED lights means their finished goods storeroom is as bright as daytime during the night shift.
