Bill Payment Options 

Enjoy the convenience of direct debit and pay your AGL bills automatically from your nominated savings, cheque or credit card account. AGL direct debit bill payment takes care of your AGL bill payments for you!

How to apply (current AGL customers)

1. Login to AGL Energy Online or register an account here.
2. Once logged in, select “Payment Options” on My Account and select Direct Debit.
3. Fill in your details, submit your payment details and submit the form.
4. We will then send you an email to confirm your direct debit has been setup and confirm your commencement date.
5. You will continue to receive your bills as normal with no further effort required!

How to modify your direct debit details

1. Login to AGL Energy Online to modify your existing direct debit details.
2. Once logged in, select “Payment Options” on My Account and select Direct Debit.
3. Fill in your details, submit your new payment details and confirm by clicking on "update".
4. We will then send you an email to confirm your direct debit has been setup and confirm the commencement date.

With Bill Smoothing, it's easy to budget for your bills so you'll know exactly how much you will be paying each month.

How does Bill Smoothing work?

• Based on your previous consumption history, we look at your energy usage and calculate either fortnightly or monthly payment amounts for your expected future usage.
• Pay on a fortnightly or monthly basis.
• Every six months your Bill Smoothing amount is reviewed and depending on your actual consumption, may be adjusted. See Bill Smoothing Terms and Conditions for more information.

1. Login to AGL Energy Online or sign up to AGL Energy Online
2. Once logged in, select “Payment Options” then select “Bill Smoothing” and click on “Set up Bill Smoothing”.
   To make things even easier, why not schedule your Bill Smoothing payments to be automatically made by Direct Debit from your nominated savings, cheque, credit or debit card account on their due date?

Pay your AGL bill through your bank using BPAY. You can make your payment through either Phone or Internet banking. If you are not already registered for Phone or Internet banking, contact your bank for details.

You can now also receive, view and pay your AGL bills online through your bank's Internet banking website with BPAY View®. Your bills will be delivered directly to your secure Internet banking environment with no more paper to worry about and the convenience of paying through any payment method of your choice.

When registering online for BPAY View, please use your 8 digit account number (displayed on the front of your AGL bill), for your BPAY View Registration Number.

Important note: Our Credit Card payment facility has been updated. Please ensure that you refer to the back of your energy bill for your new Credit Card reference number prior to making a payment online. Maximum $4,000 per transaction.
