You can add it to any option.

As one of Australia's leading renewable energy companies, AGL offers a suite of Green Energy options called AGL Green ChoiceTM that will enable you, our customer, to support cleaner energy sources like solar, wind and hydro.

  • Affordable choice: Go green from as little as $1.10* per week.
  • Help the environment: Add one of AGL's Green ChoiceTM options to your AGL energy plan and you will be supporting cleaner energy sources.
  • Discounted energy usage charges: AGL Green ChoiceTM products can be taken up in conjunction with an AGL SelectTM Electricity Plan and/or an AGL Freedom® Electricity Plan that has discounted energy usage charges (the discount does not apply to AGL Green ChoiceTM charges).

How does it work?

When you add one of AGL's Green ChoiceTM products to your AGL Energy electricity plan, AGL will source electricity equal to 10%, 20% or 100% of your entire household electricity consumption from renewable energy sources, which is approved under the National GreenPower Accreditation Program.

Terms and Conditions.

^The approximate AGL Green Energy premium per quarter is $49.01, based on the national average household electricity consumption of 891 kWh per quarter effective from 1 January 2011. Actual amount will vary each quarter dependent on electricity usage.

*Your AGL Green ChoiceTM charges are in addition to your electricity usage charges. AGL may, with prior notice, vary the AGL Green ChoiceTM charge. You can terminate your AGL Green ChoiceTM component at any time.

Note: If you are a current customer of AGL, and would like to add Green Energy to your energy account, you will be required to change your current plan to an AGL SelectTM or AGL Freedom® Energy Plan.
