As a customer with AGL, you will be under a contractual arrangement for the supply of your gas and/or electricity. The nature and terms of that contract can vary depending upon your circumstances. Below is an explanation of the various types of contracts to help you understand your relationship with AGL.
An AGL customer on a Deemed Contract, Standing Contract (also known as "Standard Contract") or Default Contract, your gas and electricity prices will be regulated. If you have not signed a market contract with your energy supplier, then you will be on a regulated price plan.
AGL offers a range of Regulated Price Plans. To understand which Regulated Price Plan applies to you, please choose from the appropriate list below:
Note: AGL does not have regulated prices for electricity in NSW and gas in SA.
Note: If you sign a Market Contract with AGL, you will enjoy specific rates as specified within that contract.
Deemed Contracts
If you have always been an AGL customer and have not entered into a Market Contract, then you will be on a Deemed Contract.

Standing Contracts
If you have become an AGL customer but did not sign a market contract, then you will be on a Standing Contract (also called a "Standard Contract").

Default Contracts
If you have moved into an AGL retail area but have not notified us of your details, then you will be on a Default Contract. In this instance you should contact us to discuss moving to a more appropriate contract for you.
