AGL’s Carbon Management Services Advisory team provides an access point to AGL’s Trading Desk for our commercial and industrial customers. AGL has been trading energy, gas, renewables and environmental certificates (including VEETs, RECs, GECs, NGACs & AEUs) for a number of years and undertook the first carbon trade (in AEUs) in the Australian market.
AGL was voted as the winner in the category “Best Trading Company” in Carbon Finance’s 2008 market survey for Australasian Markets.
For two years in a row, Senior electricity trader Jaime Clarke was voted Spot Trader of the Year in an annual poll conducted by Energy Bank Link (an on-line specialist industry forum on energy trading), with the results announced in December 2008 and 2007. Contributors from more than 50 companies participated in the poll.
In 2009, Marc Barrington was voted Carbon and Renewables Trader of the Year in an annual poll conducted by Energy Bank Link.
