Your Emissions Inventory is an essential input to developing an effective Carbon Management Strategy. Your inventory is used to:

  • Establish the baseline against which the effectiveness of measures implemented under the Strategy can be measured over time
  • Identify potential areas for internal abatement
  • Meet compliance reporting requirements. Companies qualifying under NGER thresholds will need to report their emissions inventory, along with energy production and consumption.

Abatement cost curves commonly show that the least cost options for reduction of GHG emissions are those of energy efficiency. In conjunction with the Emissions Inventory, AGL’s Carbon Management Services can develop a comprehensive suite of demand side efficiency measures which will be assessed within the context of the overall Carbon Management Strategy for prioritisation and implementation.
