AGL to the rescue.

In April 2009, AGL announced its sponsorship of the Sunshine Coast Helicopter Rescue Service, to help ongoing vital rescue, medical and search missions throughout south-east and central Queensland.

Saving lives everyday

This vital service completes over 900 missions every year and operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There are full-time staff on board, but it is assisted by the generosity of volunteers, including emergency doctors, nurses and paramedics as well.

How we, and our customers, are helping

While we provide the Service with regular funding for ongoing operations, we created a donation facility so our Queensland customers can donate to the Service from their AGL account. This donation facility was set-up by AGL in 2007 prior to the official sponsorship. AGL customers in Queensland have contributed over $1 million in the last three years.

There are several easy ways to donate

Contribute via your bill

If you are an AGL customer in Queensland, you can increase your donation or setup an ongoing contribution via your bill. Alternatively, if you are not an AGL customer, sign up to one of AGL’s energy products today and start contributing via your bill.

For more information, please call 1300 306 245 today to speak to one of our customer representatives.
