Actions, not words is our brand promise for delivering a branded customer experience for everyone who deals with AGL.

That’s about talking less and doing more. That’s about knowing it’s what we do, not what we say, that makes an interaction with AGL a great (or not so great) experience.

Our values

Our values are the framework for delivering our brand promise.

Living these values every day will shape the experience that our stakeholders have with our brand.

They’re an ethical compass that makes it clearer and simpler for all of us to make the right decisions and to work with one another … in our teams and across our business.

Living these values will make AGL a better place for all of us to work. With actions, not words …

There are five AGL values:

One Team

   

One Team is:

  • Acting in the best interest of the whole company;
  • Breaking down silos;
  • Applying consistent standards and expectations across the business.

One Team is not:

  • Us versus them;
  • Protecting turf;
  • Undermining peers and leaders.

Delivery

  Delivery is:
  • Making things happen; 
  • Keeping it simple; 
  • Setting clear goals and achieving them.

Delivery is not:

  • Making excuses; 
    Bullying people to get results; 
    Waiting to be told to do something.

Authentic

 

Authentic is:

  • Telling the truth with good and bad news; 
  • Doing what we say; 
  • Knowing our business.

Authentic is not:

  • Saying one thing and doing another; 
  • Running hidden agendas; 
  • Hiding our mistakes.

Safe and Sustainable

 

Safe and Sustainable is:

  • Being serious about safety;
  • Taking personal responsibility for our own safety;
  • Thinking about how our actions will impact tomorrow not just today.

Safe and Sustainable is not:

  • Cutting corners to get results;
  • Being complacent about safety;
  • Worrying about today but not tomorrow.

Vitality

 

Vitality is:

  • Saying "we can do this";
  • Open to new ideas;
  • Going above and beyond.

Vitality is not:

  • Being complacent;
  • Working to the lowest common denominator;
  • Maintaining the status quo.
