Upstream Gas owns a portfolio of exploration and production assets to supply AGL’s gas market in Eastern Australia. A number of development projects are underway.
AGL holds numerous petroleum exploration and production licensed to produce and explore for coal seam gas, conventional gas, condensate, liquefied petroleum gas, and crude oil in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.
The Upstream Gas business is also developing gas storage capabilities for AGL, using both a depleted underground gas reservoir in Queensland and a small-scale liquefied natural gas storage facility near Newcastle.
In addition to its petroleum production and exploration licences, Upstream Gas holds geothermal exploration licenses in Victoria, Queensland and New South Wales.
