AGL Direct Debit - Bill Smoothing Part Payments

AGL Direct Debit - Bill Smoothing is a payment plan that helps you balance your budget by spreading the estimated total cost of your yearly energy bills across equal monthly instalments. You will continue to receive bills as normal, with automatic payments debited from your bank account, credit union, building society or credit card (Visa or Mastercard) each month.

It is a popular payment option and many Australians use it because it saves them time, money and the hassle of paying bills. No more cheques, no more queuing at the post office to pay bills.

How to apply

Pay by Telephone

You can pay your AGL bill over the phone with your Visa card or MasterCard. Refer to your bill for the correct telephone number or click here.

Pay by Mail

Send your payment slip to AGL together with a cheque or money order. Click here for address details.

BPAY®

Pay your AGL bill through your bank using BPAY. You can make your payment through either Phone or Internet banking. If you are not already registered for Phone or Internet banking, contact your bank for details.

You can now also receive, view and pay your AGL bills online through your bank's Internet banking website with BPAY View®. Your bills will be delivered directly to your secure Internet banking environment with no more paper to worry about and the convenience of paying through any payment method of your choice.

Please note: BPAY View® is currently available to customers in Victoria (gas & electricity) and South Australia (gas only).

All New South Wales (gas & electricity) and South Australian (electricity) customers, will have access to this service from mid November 2008. BPAY View is also available to new and most existing Queensland (electricity) customers, whilst Queensland (gas) customers will be able to register for this service, at a later date.

When registering online for BPAY View, please use your 8 digit account number (displayed on the front of your AGL invoice), for your BPAY View Registration Number. Your name on your AGL account MUST be the same as the name on your bank account.
